Campaign Fund
Donations to the Campaign Fund will be applied each month to the loan taken out in 2025 for the roofs over the rectory, so that we can pay the loan off more quickly. In 2025, these donations reduced the number of payments from 36 to 30.
Diocesan Tax
13% of our revenue goes to the archdiocese.
However, the following sources of revenue are not subject to diocesan tax: social events, parish organizations, candles, and sacramental preparation. 20% of rental income is subject to diocesan tax.

100% of special collections goes to the archdiocese and then on to their recipients, including: Diocesan Missionary Works, Share lent, Holy Land, Vocation Works, Pastoral Works of the Holy Father, Needs of the Canadian Church, Evangelization of Nations and Diocese of Hearst-Moosonee.
Mass Intentions
Before Mass begins, the commentator says, "Today's Mass is offered for..." This is the Mass intention. The priest and people pray in a special way for that person, uniting them supernaturally. The usual donation is $15 for an announced or unannounced Mass intention. The donation ordinarily goes to the priest as a stipend. An announced Mass intention is published in the bulletin, and displayed on the PowerPoint slide. The deadline for a Mass intention to be published in the bulletin is Thursday at noon.
A priest is paid one stipend per day, but is also paid for weddings and funerals that occur on the same day. Donations for Mass intentions that are not paid to the priest as a stipend (i.e. when there are multiple intentions) are divided between the parish and diocese in accordance with canon law.
Donations made for Mass intentions are not included in the tax receipt.
Candles
People light candles in church as a form of prayer, asking for the intercession of a particular saint for a given need. People also light candles in memory of a loved one. We have white candles for St. Bernard, blue and white candles for the Blessed Virgin Mary, rose candles for St. Thérèse of Lisieux, red candles for St. Joseph, green candles for St. Jude, white candles for St. Anthony of Padua, and red and green candles for St. Anne. The cost for a small candle is $1, and $5 for a large candle.

The sanctuary lamp devotion dedicates the sanctuary lamp by the tabernacle for a weekly intention. The cost is $10.
The parish is not subject to diocesan tax on donations made for candles, but they are not included in the tax receipt.
